The real Good News, not the fake news, but the True News that everyone needs to hear is the news about Jesus Christ.
Truth One: Jesus Christ loves you.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
He loves you so much that He died for you.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.” – Romans 5:6
There is no greater love than giving your life to someone else.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13
Truth Two: We weren’t his friends. We were sinners, alienated from Him. We had no fellowship with Him.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
“As is it written, There is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.” – Romans 3:9,10
Truth Three: We were in a bad way without God. We were headed to an eternity in a horrible place called Hell.
“For the wages of sin is death,…” Romans 6:23a
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” – Romans 5:12
“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments,…” – Luke 16:23a
Truth Four: God made a provision for us, if we believe and accept His Son.
“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23b
“That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so, might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 5:21
Truth Five: Salvation is simple.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10:9-13
Accept that you are a sinner.
Believe that God’s only begotten Son died for your sin.
Ask a holy God, who loves you, to forgive you of your sin and save you.
Truth Six: Salvation is eternal and reserves us a home in Heaven.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and thy follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” – John 10:27,28
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” – I John 5:13
“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” II Corinthians 5:1
And that is a simple truth. The Good News.
