Adult Ministries

Our adult ministries include, of course, Sunday School and Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening worship services. We also have frequent fellowships and outings. Our ladies attend womens’ conferences, and we occasionally go together to revivals or special meetings at other churches of like faith and doctrine, or invite other churches to join us for such a meeting at our facility

In September we hosted a Revival. It was a wonderful time with the Spirit of God moving in the hearts and lives of people. The altars were full every service. Bro. Jerry Whitlow, from Massillon Baptist Temple, presented some sound, biblical truths for us to ponder and apply to our lives and even though the meetings are over, the spirit of revival is still moving. We are anticipating great things in the months to come here at PHBC.

We also have lots of things planned through the end of the year. A Sprite and Paint class was offered by Joyce Canada for the adults on Friday, October 21st at 7:00 in the evening. There was a great turn out. Joyce offered another one on November 11th, and we painted a Nativity picture. She also held another one for adults on Friday, December 2nd, at 7:00. We an adorable snowman picture.  In January, on Friday, the 13th we will be painting a winter themed picture. Come and join us. The cost is $6.00. Be sure to sign up.

On Saturday, October 29th, we hosted  our 2nd Annual Harvest Festival, which was open to everyone. There was lots of fun and food for all of our neighbors and friends. Over 80 people turned out and nine children were saved as a result. Praise the Lord!

Sunday, November  20th, we had our annual Thanksgiving soup and sandwich fellowship after the morning service; then on Wednesday, November 23rd, we had a wonderful  Thanksgiving Praise and Testimonies service. What an sweet opportunity it was to praise the Lord for His goodness.

On December 9th, we had  our annual Christmas Dinner. We had an awesome time of fellowship, along with some great food and a short message from the pastor.

The year 2016 has been a very busy and a very fruitful year for Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. New folks have come into our church family and people have been saved and baptized. We are looking forward to how God will work in 2017. It will be an exciting year, I am sure.

But please don’t wait until a “special” day to come and worship and fellowship with us. You are invited to join us anytime here at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. You will only be our guest once, then you’ll be our friend.
